Description
To economically empower 150 rural women and their families in the district of Kolar, Karnataka, India. Through a community assessment, women living in genuine need have already been identified as beneficiaries. Each will receive a milk-yielding cow, (The cows provided will deliver calf within 15 to 20 days) providing them with an immediate and sustainable source of income. Main Objectives:- To create economic self-reliance for underprivileged women. To improve family livelihood and nutrition through dairy income and milk availability. To provide training in animal care and livestock management for long-term sustainability. To foster community development and dignity of women through financial independence. Beneficiaries:- The direct beneficiaries are the 150 women and their families, many of whom live in poverty and lack stable income sources. Indirectly, the larger rural community will benefit from increased economic activity, better nutrition, and the spirit of collective growth nurtured by Rotary volunteers
