Project Details
Description
We propose to upgrade the Paediatric Department of Kumta Government Hospital to provide improved healthcare services to underprivileged children in the region which is a mofussil place. The main objectives of the project are: 1. Enhance Infrastructure: Upgrade medical facilities, equipment, and child-friendly infrastructure within the paediatric ward. 2. Improve Access to Quality Care: Ensure timely diagnosis, treatment, and care for children, especially from low-income and rural families. 3. Support Health Equity: Bridge the gap in healthcare access for children of farmers, laborers, and economically disadvantaged communities. Who Will Benefit: The primary beneficiaries will be: Children from poor and marginalized families in Kumta and surrounding rural areas specially premature borns. Families of farmers, daily wage laborers, and tribal communities who depend on government hospitals for healthcare. The broader community, through reduced child mortality, better health outcomes, and long-term social upliftment. By improving the paediatric department, we aim to create a safer, more effective environment for healing and growth, ultimately contributing to a healthier future for the most vulnerable children in our region.
